Cosmo Hotel with 347 rooms is a recent addition to the crowded tourist hotel market in Leboh Ampang area, which is an Indian enclave in the old part of Kuala Lumpur city. Leboh Ampang is not to be mistaken with Ampang or Jalan Ampang.

A nearby landmark is the Masjid Jamek LRT Station which is within a few minutes walk from the hotel. For leisure travellers, you can take in some historical and cultural sights around the area. Petaling Street and Central Market are some of the more famous attractions. The hotel has teamed up with professional tour guides offering guided tours of the various historical sights around the area.

Cosmo Hotel is also well suited for business travellers who are looking to be near the Tun Perak and Tun HS Lee part of town. This is the old financial hub of KL and is still home to many banks and many in the legal fraternity including the Malaysia Bar Council. The old Maybank Headquarters and Pudu Bus Station are within 10 minutes walk away.

Parking is somewhat lacking. There is an open air car park next door but with very limited spaces and high prices. If you have a car, then this could be a deal breaker unless you can budget for full day parking rate of around RM20-30.

The hotel was re-developed from an old office building. It was completed and launched in 2017, spotting modern and colourful finishings in the lounge area and rooms. There’s a plethora of backpacker and budget accommodation around the area, but for a little bit more, give Cosmo Hotel a try and you get to enjoy a modern hotel with facilities and service. The hotel also enjoys some good reviews and decent ratings on a number of OTAs and travel websites.
