Located in SongShan district of Taipei, Fortune Inn (富景商旅) is a 3.5 star hotel providing basic but decent accommodation. There are some 37 rooms located across two floors within a commercial building.
You need to take a lift up to the 17th floor to access the hotel lobby. Take a look at this pic, look for this signage on the ground floor and know you have arrived at the right place.
We stayed in the Standard Double room. Size was minimal but at least there was a small window with city views. Overall room was quite modern and clean.
There is an breakfast area on the 18th floor that serves basic breakfast for tourists (small buffet spread of Chinese dishes).

As we stayed for only one night in our Taipei stopover, we found the accommodation to be adequate and clean. Bed was firm enough. It wasn’t flash but was decent and quite modern, so at least you don’t feel like you are in an old and dirty hotel. Sound proofing can do with some improvement, we can hear some noise from our neighbouring room. It’s not a deal breaker though as I’m not a light sleeper.
The hotel was included in our tour package, but if you need to pay for it yourself, rooms start at less than RM200 per night with breakfast.
